I bought my delta tale male, Loki, yesterday, and this morning I realized that he's missing a fin on his left side, right next to his gills... On his right, his fin is long and white and beautiful, but there is hardly anything on his left!

What do I do? Will he be alright?

If you mean the ventral fin, he will be fine without it. I sometimes breed fry without ventrals, (I won't sell them) and they can swim without them, they don't miss what they never had!

It looks like there's still a small fin there, and it's transparent, but besides for that, he looks completely fine. I still need to get him a heater, so he's already a little lethargic due to the somewhat chilly water, so I won't know for sure until I'm able to get the water right tomorrow. But when he's not being all mopey, he honestly seems fine...
