I am kind of reaking out right now, so bear with me if my thoughts are disorganised and frazzled --

I ordered the betta girls for my sorority on aquabid, and they were shipped out on Monday by express mail. I expected to have them yesterday or today.
Last night at 9:17pm the tracking page showed that the package had been MISROUTED, of all things. There has been no information since then, and I am extremely concerned. You see, due to an emergency situation that has come up, I'm going to have to go away for the weekend, leaving tomorrow at 4:00pm Pacific.
I had wanted to keep a close eye on them for the first couple of days since sororities are so tricky and unpredictable. Now not only can I probably not do that (luckily I have individual temporary housing for all of them), but I don't even know if they're going to arrive before I have to go! These girls CANNOT sit in a box for three days because of this whole mess, but I don't know what to do. =\
I've tried to call customer service and wasn't able to be told anything, and I sent an angry e-mail to the postal service about it, but now I'm at a loss.
Is there anything I can do about this? This is the first time I've ever had live animals shipped to me before, and it just seems like a complete disaster. :-(

Good news -- after sending a complaint last night, just a moment ago I got a notification that my fish are in my city! So, crisis averted hopefully. I just hope my girls are okay after being shipped around for some extra time!

Thanks guys. May look into getting a shipping refund from the postal service, it really is so negligent of them!
Right now though, I'm just happy to have my girls home! They all arrived safe and sound, in surprisingly good condition considering they spent so much time in the post.
The workers at the front desk at my residence hall were amazed live fish could be sent by post, and asked me to open the box in front of them so they could see. :p
