Hey guys! My sister is worried about the fins of her betta, Louis, so we are posting them here with pictures.

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed?
His fins have a pink tint to them. (More on the missing scales on the medical history section below.)

How has your betta fish's behavior changed?
It hasn't changed at all

When did you start noticing the symptoms?
I noticed it maybe a month ago, but it was not that bad.

Have you started treating your fish? If so, how?
I tried treating him with the API PIMAFIX, but since it did not do anything, I stopped after about 3 days.

Does your fish have any history of being ill?
Well, he had a rotting fin about two years ago. He has not had rot since then.

He got stuck in one of the tank decorations about six months ago and that is why he does not have any scales on his head. The decoration was removed and replaced by a safer one.

How old is your fish (approximately)?
I have had him for two years.

He looks fine to me, especially if you say there is no change in behavior. A lot of bettas with white/clear fins get a pinkish hue to them. If his fins are not receding and they don't look torn, I don't think you have much to worry about.

I'm no expert but he looks okay to me too! If he's acting like himself I'd say he's probably fine!

Certainly he is a marble so that may explain some of the fin color change.

Did you change the food you feed him? A new food might be bringing out new colours too.

I have a black and blue betta who has white fins that fade into clear, and I have noticed a very pronounced pink tinge developing along the white and clear parts since I started feeding him a different food. If it's not red/streaky/bloody looking I would think it's just coloration.
