Greetings all:

I do not seem to have much luck with live plants in my tank. They do OK for 2-3 weeks and then they start to crash. The anacharis all dies off. I got a java fern and it looked good for a couple of weeks, but now it is crashing hard. Can anyone tell anything from this photo as to what the issue might be? Too much light, not enough? The tank has LED lighting. It does not look terribly bright to me, but some others have claimed they are able to keep plants in this same tank. Thanks in advance.

I can't tell the problem of your plants just by looking at them, but how much hours of light do they receive in a day? What kind of tank do you have? Possibly your plants were already sick when you got them. Do you plant your plants in the substrate, free floating, or on driftwood? Java ferns grow best when on driftwood or rocks and anacharis grows best floating. Do you have high quality substrate? BTW, I'm just asking questions that could affect plant growth, not just random questions.
