I've always been familiar with betas but i am no where near an expert. I have not had betas in years and over the last few weeks I have gotten 6 of them. The idea was to get 3 males and 3 females. The males I am certain about but am confused if what I was sold as Females are just juvenile males.

I am thinking that they are juvenile males because they flare a lot more than they should. But I may be wrong and thats why I am here

please take a look at these pictures and let me know

thanks for your help

yes first one is female for sure.
can you get another pic of the other two?
the 2nd one looks like might be a young male.
3rd one I have no idea. if you have other pics, it might help. i've noticed the females have short ventral (front two) fins. Also if you can see an eggspot underneath/behind the ventrals - most likely female.

yeah the other 2 are males, after i separated to individual containers, they started blowing bubble nest, one of them has a pretty big nest, the biggest any betta ive owned has built in such a short time span (14 hours)
