This is my betta fish. It’s currently in a 5 gallon tank. It is a male. I change the tank every week and I take out about 1/3 of the water. I do a full change with all the rocks every month. The tank is foggy rn though because it’s due for a cleaning. It looks like there is something wrong with it’s pectoral fin in this photo but it was moving at the time of the photo so it’s blurry. I’m worried about it’s back fins/tail. It is being fed Aqueon Color Enhancing Betta Pellets and API Tropical Flakes. The back of its fins have been turning whitish and I’m worried it is fin rot but I’m not positive. Otherwise it seems healthy and it is eating well and it perks when it sees me. I’m also a bit concerned about the discoloring on its back.

Your Betta does not have fin rot.

He is changing colors and the white tips are part of his natural color as is the discoloration on his back.
