I have had Desi, my blue betta, for just over four months now. He recently has begun to lose a bit of the fin on his tail. At first, his tail just looked a little bit scraggly, and after performing more frequent water changes it seemed to stop.
Now I'm noticing that his tail is looking a good deal worse. I do not have pictures at the moment, but it looks as if the "webbing" or skin on the end of his tail, in between the raised areas, has fallen away. The remaining portion appears discolored, but no blood is visible. He appears just fine otherwise, appetite is great, and no changes in personality.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be, and how I can treat it?
