I've got some bettas flying in next week and I have been told to add seachem prime to the bag to instantly get rid of ammonia in the water so I can drip acclimate them more safely. Will API Ammo Lock do the same thing as Prime? Both say they get rid of ammonia so I'm just wondering which is better?

Prime- it also gets rid of nitrate, nitrite, and chlorine

The ammonia is not gotten rid of - it gets neutralized. However, the effect is not permanent. After 24-48 hours the bonds break and you have ammonia again.

I like prime and use it as my regular conditioner.

You don't need to dose much, it is highly concentrated. I would dilute a drop a bit (1:10 prime to water?) and add a drop to he bags as soon as they are opened.
