Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is the recommended PH for bettas? I got a PH test for Poseidon and his 5 gal tank and his is reading blue(which says 7.6 on the card) and wondered if that was ok or if I need to re-do his tank water?

As long as his pH is stable, don't worry about it. Bettas are adaptable and a stable pH, even if it is slightly high (7.6 isn't really anything to worry about), is better than one that is constantly being adjusted. :)

Seconded.

Mine tends to look like 7.6-7.8 or so depending on the lighting, and I've never had trouble with it. I wouldn't breed Discus, but bettas do just fine. :-D

What could I do to get it closer to 7.0?
