I am thinking of getting a tank to use as a quarantine tank for sick and new fish. How big should it be?

Go to Wal-Mart or some chain store like that and get a plastic Rubber Maid container for cheap as a quarantine tank. Mine is 3 gallons

For a betta? I just use those one-gallon glass fish bowls. But I can imagine a plastic tub would be cheaper. The fish bowls were gifts because someone heard I keep goldfish. And goldfish obviously go in bowls. :roll:

I have 2 fish bowls also ^^ I use them for fish sometimes but I mostly use them to QT plants and use Rubber Maid containers for fish because they're bigger and I can get them cheaper

I go to garage sales and pick up 1 gallon containers I find for cheap. I have found them for like a dollar. and sometimes i get lucky and find ones with extra decor. Or you can just go to walmart and get a fish bowl for like 6 bucks.

Will a tupperware container work?

I use a 1 quart tupperware container to float sick fish in my larger tanks. It saves me from having to heat such a small space.

I had the worst luck with my main tank except with betta's so it's a good thing to have to keep fish in permanently. But the sucky thing is I had to move one of my betta tanks. lol
