So I bought these little submersible LED lights for my fish bowl, but they are incredibly bright and I saw them as a nuisance to my beta. In turn, I decided to paint the lights to block out a lot of the light. They look really cool and I would really like to use them in the bowl. Should I be worried about the paint harming the water and harming my beta? It won't chip off as I have used strong paint meant for furniture.

I'm pretty sure any paint is poisonous.It may be just me but I wouldn't put anything with paint in my tank,it'd just be to risky.

Definitely don't add anything to a tank that you, yourself painted. And I might not have been the first one to tell you this, but you shouldn't keep a Betta in a bowl! Unless the bowl is large (2.5 gallons+) and has a filter, heater and thermometer. Bowls are not an adequate habitat for ANY fish!
