Hi everyone! I have a question concerning the filter on my fish tank. The one I have at the moment does not have a sponge filter and has an intake that is too strong which makes my Betta stick to it. Is it possible for me put some sponge in the empty space on the inside of my filter to reduce the intake? or would I have to use another method?

The ive heard good things about the sponge method (as long as its a sponge thats never had any contact with soap, lotion, ect). I have heard rumors that overtime the sponge will disintegrate though, not sure if they are true. I have some craft mesh that I attach with rubber bands on mine but what ever works with you.

The easiest way is to use an intake sponge. It slips over the pipe. Often used by shrimpers so the shrimp won't get sucked up into the filter.
