I have a couple breeding-related questions;

1. Where can I get worm cultures that don't cost very much?
2. The female I intend to breed has a mild case of ick. How long after she gets over it & I quit giving medicine should I wait before I breed her?

Thanks for the help:)

1. aquabid has some cheap starter cultures. Or maybe someone in the forum is selling some.
2. maybe wait 1 or 2 more weeks until she is fully recover? that way she won't be too weak after she spawns bc she was sick :)

Cheap worm culture.
U can try to find a local breeder and buy from them.
It way lot cheaper then ab.

With the female.
U have to wait till she fully recover and show no sign of Ick for about a month.
All healthy fish don't show sign of being sick with a mild case of Ick.
Breeding fish will Ick it will end in disaster.
It spread like fire

As Curly said, you MUST wait a while until she is fully recovered. Preferably 2.5 weeks since she will still be under maximum care as a breeder as well.

And Aquabid is the #1 site I recommend because it is the easiest and safest. Also the prices are great. Not too expensive for a culture or two. Some sellers even offer package deals for pretty cheap.

I found a LARGE microworm culture on ebay for under 3 bucks. The lady is really helpful. I started 4 microworm cultures from the large bag i got.
