There's a weird, very very small red spot at the tip of my Delta, Calvin's, tail. I know I'm just a worried mother, but I was wondering what this could be? I know fin rot can begin with red spots along the tail, so it worries me... but it's so minuscule, should I be worried at all?

He's been given 75% water changes for the past eight days along with API salt treatments to regrow his tail (tail biter). I can't see why he'd be sick!

Any thoughts or opinions?

Tailbiting. That's the answer :p I find many of my tail biters, especially light colored ones tend to have a little red spotting where they've bitten.

Don't worry - I worried the first time too  El Dorado was the worst, since he was a bright yellow - the red showed up very well
