After a fish with dropsy I, of course, had to clean out the entire tank. I bought some really nice driftwood at my LPS and some other plants. There is actually more plants than it appears.

The sword plant actually had a baby on it and also has a couple stems with buds, I may get flowers or more babies. The lower part of the driftwood I plan on getting another anubias plant.

Should I take out the java fern and put it in the sorority? I dont know if the fern is too much.

Thanks!

I guess I will just keep it in there then. I may get an anubias from one of those tubes at Petco since they are algae free.

I can't wait till they grow in though, it looks so lightly planted.

Thanks Sakura!

I still need to get the Excel for the carbon. Can I dose that and other fertilizer with it or should I just dose that?

Excel puts carbon in which plants need to grow like carzy. It is just something for the plants so they grow faster as it is needed and it is concentrated carbon, though CO2 still puts more Carbo in the tank. Soil will give it to them as well as CO2.

I do not understand why I didn't connect carbon in my head with Excel. I know what it is and what it does, but for some reason I was thinking you were trying to use it for carbon in your filter. :p Excuse my lack of brain today.

Haha, yea sometimes my brain is like that.

I am just gonna try and start the tank with a 7-8 lift schedule until the plants adjust to the tank. After that I will slowly start increasing the light times by an hour.
