Okay, I noticed Pebbles' symptoms and immediately moved him to a QT tank. I would assume the SBD was caused by constipation, HOWEVER, I had been fasting him for two days before I noticed the symptoms. I was a bit overdue for a water change, and I know that poor water quality can cause SBD, but I don't think my water had become THAT bad. He isn't bloated.

He has a white fleck on his eye that I noticed when moving him to his QT tank. It isn't cloudy and his eye isn't raised. When I shined a flashlight on his eye, it glowed yellow. The other eye didn't appear to, but that was the side he keeps laying on so it was hard to tell. Could be nothing. He might have just bumped his eye on something.

His fins are a little clamped, but I think that's from the stress of having to struggle to the surface. His gills seem a little inflamed too, but again, that could be from heavy breathing due to the constant exertion. I put him in 1tsp of epsom salt today and I'll let you guys know if that helps, or if the eye swells. He hasn't passed any stools since I moved him to the QT yesterday. I also stopped feeding him.

Any ideas on other causes for SBD if it isn't constipation?

Here's the eye. Couldn't get to the other one. Picture 666 of 666, hmmm. :p

He's gone pale and his SBD is worse. Still breathing hard. I'm going to keep him on the epsom salt and add in Jungle Fungus Clear. Claims to help SBD, cloudy eye, and bacterial infections. Could this be an internal bacterial infection?
