Apparently I am not that good at math...

I have a 2gl tank.

The instructions for Seachem Prime state that 1cap = 50gal and 1 cap ring = 1ml.

So do I just put in a drop some how? Is that how much is needed for each gallon?

Hi I have a 2.5 gallon tank and use 4 drops mixed in my fresh water changes, which are 70 ounces. I've had no issues.

Many here have said it is difficult overdose.

What do you use to get the drops in? A eye dropper?

(I'm afraid I will spill most of it, haha)

I actually have a flip top on my small bottle of Prime. This allows me to just do droplets of it.

I use a pipette. It's 2 drops per gallon. :3

2 drops per gallon if your bottle doesn't have a dropper lid, you can buy a pipette or an eye/ear dropper.

Droppers can be bought at any drug store for a few dollars, usually in a pack of 2 or 3.

I bought a 100 count bag of disposable, 3ml pipettes from Amazon for about $5. These are awesome because if one gets accidentally contaminated (by soap or whatever) I can just throw it away and grab a new, clean one.

I do wish the manufacturers of these products would list amounts with smaller tanks in mind. Seems every bottle I pick up says something like "for every 100 gallons..."

Sad part is, when @ThatFishThough mentioned 'pipette' I had to google it. I haven't used one since high school. Goodness.

I agree @NiceCrocs. They should list a chart per gallon. I'm sure schools buy this stuff in bulk too and it would just be easier on everyone. Or at least put it with a dropper lid, (I have the 16fl oz bottle and it does not).

I actually use a insulin syringe to dose prime for my tanks. Worked it out to 0.1 ml for 1-3G, 0.2 ml for 5g, 0.4 ml for 10g and 0.8ml for 20g. Using these syringe measurements idk if others have different units

I use a 1ml calibrated syringe for all of my liquid additives. Also, 2 drops per gallon is my standard when using Prime in my nano tanks.
