I just got a new Crown Tail on thursday. ever since I got him, Prince hasn't ate at all. today I fed him like always and he really wanted to eat! But the food kept shooting out of his mouth and he would try again. sometimes he held the food in his mouth for a long time and i thought he swallowed it but he didn't.

I'm new to fish and i dont know whats wrong with him! I feed him wardley Betta food. also i'v tried frozen blood worms.

please help!:-(

also, i dont know if the water is too cold? could this be a factor?

I heard that it might be that Prince is just taking his time to adjust to his new home, but he seems to really want to eat.

when i first got him i red him right away, he didn'teat so i took out the pellets. but throughout the first day i found about 7 pellets that i didn't feed him in his water, i think he threw them up after they were fed to him at the pet store, Petco

Its pretty normal for bettas to not eat the first few days after bringing them home. Also, bettas can be picky eaters. I had one that would chomp on a pellet and spit it out. Then I changed brands and that helped. Welcome to FishForum.
