My son's betta is about 3 years old & has thrived until recently. A strange growth appeared on his tail a few months ago & has since grown even larger. He can no longer swim but instead floats head up/tail down in the tank. The growth is white with some grayish & black spots. Does anyone know what this might be or have any advice?
