Lately, my betta, Alpha has been having a hard time finding his food. He used to be able to pick it off the top no problem, and now his sight seems to have gotten worse. His back is also a little arched near his head and I'm not sure if that's normal or not.

He's just as active as he's always been, except he's not flaring anymore. He used to to it all the time, and when his tank mate, Ender died about two months ago, he just stopped. I'm really worried. I tried to whole mirror thing a minute ago and he just looked at it and then swam off.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is he sick? If so, how should I treat it? I've looked all around and I haven't found a good answer. Help! :-(

How old is he? From what I've read those are all symptoms of ageing :/
I actually found out about an hour after I posted this that he's actually just getting old. I have a friend who breeds bettas, and he took a look at him and told me he was just aging. When I got him, he was about 2 1/2 so It makes sense. :-D
