So I bought a silicone plant online, for an aquarium. When I got it, it has that siliconey smell. I soaked it in hot water for a few hours, and even soaked it in some vinegar, but the smell is still there.

Is it okay to put in the tank? Will the smell be harmful?

I would wash them in hot water (like you did) and allow them to soak for a few days in warm water, change the water 1-2 times a day. Then allow them to fully dry. That should get rid of any odors. It night not cause any issues in the tank but a few days of waiting would give me peace of mind.

Thanks, I will do what you suggested. I hope the smell goes away.
