I recently got a crowntail male and he has decided that his favorite place to sleep and hide is under my flat heater that rests on the ground.

My worry is that it's going to burn him...it's never gotten that hot but I'm still worried..I'm going to add more hiding places tonight since his tank is pretty bare...

Should I really try to get him out of the habit or am I being paranoid? He still acts normal and so far it hasn't seemed to be doing any damage...

Any advice would be welcome, thanks!

Most fish will avoid what hurts them.. so if it happened to burn him (pretty much unlikely, don't worry!) he'll avoid it. Don't bother getting him out of it  I've had bettas who wedge themselves between a heater and the tank, to sleep o_O Maybe by adding more decor and hidey holes, he would choose somewhere else :)
