Hi, I'm new to the world of bettas. I got mine a couple of weeks ago and he seems to be doing great so far. However, today I noticed some small fraying/holes in his fins. I looked it up and saw something called "pinhole finrot." I've attached some pictures, but I'm afraid they're not very clear. Is that what this is, and what can I do about it? Thanks

Do you feed flakes or pellets? Flakes
Freeze-dried? Frozen bloodworms
How often do you feed your Betta? How much? Every second day, 3 frozen bloodworms or a pinch of flake

Maintenance:

Weekly 50% with vacuum
Filter media needs a swish/rinse in old tank water a couple of times a month.

You're underfeeding him. Gradually increase his flakes, but note that there are a lot of extra ingredients in that brand that betta can't readily digest. You could try some pellets, New Life Spectrum is a good food, to where he's getting two meals a day, or Fluval Bug Bites is another good brand.

Also, add some Indian Almond Leaf or plain decaf rooibos tea;
Both contain antibacterial and antifungal properties and also ease stress. You can float either or brew a tea, condition and add to tank. The water should be at least this color.
