Something weird

I've noticed recently Marcos has been loosing colors in patches on his body. Nothing major. I can't tell if it is scale loss or color though. The color is like a white or off white, as if he is marbling backwards. No behavioral changes and he eats great.
Does anyone know what this might be?
I don't intend on intervening, every time I have, the medication always seemed to make the betta look/act worse and they died anyway. I would just like an idea if what the problem could be.

It is possible for a dark colored betta to turn to a light colored one...

is the color loss area fuzzy at all?
It doesn't look fuzzy, no.
Can you post a picture? Has anything else changed? like, behavior, eating habits, movement, etc?

I could, but it might be awhile. We are very busy today.

He has been acting perfectly fine and eating like a piggy like he always has.
I wouldn't worry too much... And that's okay! as soon as you can get a picture up that'd be great :)

Does it look like missing scales? or slimy? how long have you had him?
I can't tell if it's missing scales. We've had him about a year and a half.
And has he ever done color changes?
Nope, this is totally new.
Just wanted to update, his color came back fine. Not sure what the issue was though.
