I'm considering getting a 50 gal tank to start a sorority. I'd also like to add some neons for my daughter. Would this be wise? I'm thinking about 5 female betas and 5 neons in a 50 gal, and maybe some ghost shrimp.

I would do 6 or 7 neons rather then 5 because they feel safer in schools and you have the room for it. They should be fine with your female bettas.

Very nice sorority. I love how densly planted it is.
