I know this doesn't have to do with betta's but why is my new sword plant getting yellow leaves?

It probably doesn't have enough nutrients. They are heavy root feeders and are probably lacking nutrients. They could also be adjusting to your water. Make sure they heavy nutrients!

Several thing could be happening.....planted too deep and the crown is covered by the substrate, poor nutrients, normal leaf die off or it could be normal emersed-submersed leaf change over....

Its probably the normal die off lol. I have grown them before out of the water
