These questions are not related to each other.

1. I have a 2.5 gallon tank but it just seems so small. I want to upgrade to a 5 or 10 and that would give me a nice hospital tank. But I have bought so many tanks lately I am trying to refrain. Can't decide so I suppose this isn't really a question per say LOL. If I get one 10 gallon how do you use dividers and is it stressful for betas to see each other all day and flare up?

2. I have freezedried bloodworms for my betta "Picky" he doesn't like them (hence the name he really really REALLY likes pellets). LOL do I need to soak them first?

A 10 gallon can be split 3 times. No flaring all day is NOT stressful. I find it more stressful to visually seperate the fish. Yes bettas fight but they are still social.

Freeze dried blood worms will inflate inside your fish's digestive system and should only be used in moderation. I would switch to frozen blood worms.

They will probably flare a bit at first, but they will get used to each other, and won't spend all their time at the divider
Until you get frozen which I recommend as well, I would soak the freeze dried before feeding. But keep it to a minimum. Try feeding a different betta food brand for a staple diet.

i had one fish that hated bloodworms over time, even when i soaked them.
i have a white dragonscale and he will only eat them if they are not soaked. if they are soaked he treats them like garbage and ignores them.

i also have a jar of freeze dried brineshrimp that none of my bettas will touch, but my ghost shrimp go crazy over.

Frozen is definitely better than freeze dried. My tetras go crazy for frozen daphnia and it's fun to watch them. Tried them with freeze dried and they snubbed their nose up at them. They are really treats rather than a staple diet.

My betta flares almost constantly and is pretty much always flying at half mast. He's aggressive anyway. It doesn't stress him really, he flares while eating too. Bettas all have different personalities. Some aggressive some more placid so it's all depending on personalities.
