Okay expert fish owners, my tank has been in the cycling process for a month now and still getting a 0.25ppm nitrite reading 😬 I had dosed the tank with Seachum Stability at the beginning and then a 2nd time 3 weeks after. Increased tank temp to 80. I had also added some fish food in the beginning as an ammonia source. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I’m not an expert, and I usually do fish-in cycles so I’m not too sure about fish less cycling but maybe I can ask a few questions that might be helpful.
Usually those numbers mean you’re really close.
How long have you been getting those types of results?
Have you done any water changes since starting the cycle?
Have you tested your source water?
What size tank? Are there any plants in it?
Hopefully one of those experts you need can give you some better advice.

Big water change to bring the nitrates down, this will help the cycle.
