Hi! I've recently purchased a new betta whose fairly small. I haven't had one of these fish or any fish sense I was really young. I bought the national geographic 2.5 gallon aquarium kit, but I'm worried that the filter is creating too strong of a current. I've tried altering it by adding a second filter cartridge for the water to go through and taping off some of the area that water can come in at the bottom. Is there another filter that would work better with a smaller current? Or are there other solutions that would work for what I have? I've read that you can add more areas for the betta to hide in, but he has one now that he never uses.

I had this issue when I first got my Tetras. My quick fix was just adding a "net" of plants about 1 inch away from the filters end. It worked until they were strong enough.
