i was curious, i hae my tank set at 86 because my bettas just love it and flare all day. If temperature were to go any higher somehow, whats considered deadly to them?

Id say that 90+ can be really bad for them. You should leave your termostat between 80 and 84, which is their water temperature in nature.

My desk tank stays around 85-6F and he loves it too! Just don't go higher!

I agree- Sky seems most happy at 83-85 degrees.

Depends. My fish are kept up towards 88F as breeders. I say no less than 80F is the best and no more than 90F.
