Some of my tetras are looking a little pudgy (they're all males) and I'm thinking about fasting them for a little bit. What would be a good amount of time to fast them for without risking their health?

Up to 3 days, to start with. I'd feed them again when they look less fat.

I skip a day of feeding each week to let my fishies' digestive systems clear up and to keep them from getting bloated.

I think they actually bloated because I put too much brine shrimp in the tank. They are doing a lot better now though.
