Ahhhh! I fed my betta fish today, and I think I put in a bit too much accidentally, and now there are tons of flakes floating on top of the water! I don't a net or anything, so how do I get rid of the extra soggy flakes without a net, and how can I avoid accidentally putting in too many flakes? Thanks! :p

Use a spoon. Slowly put it in the water near and slightly tilted towards the flakes. The water will move into the spoon to fill it up, carrying the flakes with it. Don't bother trying to scoop it up like how you'd normally use a spoon.

Use a siphon or air line hose to suck it out and use clean hands/fingers to remove a small amount of flakes to feed to prevent over feeding....

It sounds like a good tank cleaning is needed anyway......
