Recently I got myself a betta and I told my grandmother. She told me she also got one herself and she is quite worry about it and wonder if I can take care of it. The betta look to be in a very bad condition. I am not sure if it is fin rot or not. I bought the Betta Fix but it been a week and it seem that the red spots on his fin are the same. I am quite unwilling to put him in the same tank as my fish with a divider because I am not sure what he has so I dont want to get my healthy fish sick also.

Here are his picture. Please help me.

He needs a serious water change. What does she have him in?
It's kind of hard to tell much from the photos because of the blurriness, but he definitely has some significant fin damage. If its fin rot, the edges of the fin will have blackened or possibly bloody tips.

It'll be a lot easier for us to help if you give some more information. I know hes not in your main tank right now, but still try to fill this out for him to the best of your ability.

Also, I recommend stopping the BettaFix immediately. -Fix medications are actually widely considered to be unhealthy for bettas. Frequent water changes and a bit of freshwater aquarium salt are often a much better treatment option.
