Hi everyone, Im new to this website so please bare with me. I just received my female Halfmoon Plakat in the mail yesterday. She was super active and responsive which is a great sign after shipping. She was doing perfectly fine in her filtered 5 gallon tank all day yesterday. This morning I panicked as I couldn't find her. After about 5-10 minutes of searching, we turned the filter off and she popped right out of the filter tube. She was on the floor of the tank for about a minute or less before she began to swim. What worries me the most is that I'm not sure how long she was stuck in there for. It's been about an hour since this entire ordeal and she is still swimming normally for the most part. She is able to still come to the top to eat. I also placed a hammock leaf for her to rest since she must be exhausted as i can imagine. I unfortunately have to go to work, but my partner will be going to buy a sponge filter immediately. For now we have also turned off the original filter for obvious reasons. I'm also concerned about her back fins as they seem shriveled up. I also have noticed any major cuts or tears for now. I feel so extremely terrible and want to make sure that I'm helping her as best as I can. Any and all help is so greatly appreciated. I tried my best to do research and didn't impulse buy and I really do care for this fish. Thank you all so much in advance. I will post a before and after picture.

That happened to my Betta Turquoise before but he seemed fine cause he wasn't in there for to long. Maybe some almond leaves ( they help toughen skin, heal cuts, fin rot, etc.) would help. Hopefully he's fine.

Thank you so much Kyle! We will be picking some up today. So far, we’ve seen such great improvement 🙏🏼.

Her fins are clamped but considering this ordeal and the shipping I think it's understandable, they clamp the fins when stressed or sick. I would turn the tank lights off and put a towel over the tank and let her relax. If you can get some indian almond leaf I would also put some in there. It helps calm them but also will help aid in healing of any injuries she may have gotten. It's likely that she will be fine :)
