I'm noticing a film on top of my betta's water just a day of having gotten him. He has a Tetra Whisper 3i filter in his 1 gallon aquarium so I wonder how this is possible. It's only been a day, so It's hard to believe that It's time for a water change. Any help? -Thanks.

What food do you feed? Some high protein foods will create this "skin". I know that New Life Spectrum does. I have it in both my tanks most of the time and it's never caused any harm. My guys actually like it cause it traps the surface bubbles so they can play with them.
