It took me an entire day to introduce myself as I was so enamored by the site I kept cruising it instead of typing. I'm a small timer when it comes to Betta. I use to breed several years ago and am just starting to get back into it. Still setting up supplies before I do to much.

My special male is FishKey. Yeah I know it's not that original but that is him. Wild type vt. I know he isn't recognized for shows but I love the look and it's what sells best in my area. He live in a 3 gallon cube. I've tried putting him in a 10 gallon tank one time and he sat in the corner for 3 days. Didn't even fight with getting scooped back out. Put him back in his 3 gallon and back to eating and swimming around. I think he was just in to many small tanks when he was younger. I'm not sure as I got him second hand.

Other then FishKey I live with 3 dogs: Koda (Alaskan Malamute), Totsie (German Shepherd mix and retired service dog I'm fostering) and Monty (Long hair Chihuahua). We have one cat (Nokomith) and a small troll um I mean my son Gabriel.

I'm disabled and end up having far to much time on my hands. (one of the other reasons I'm getting back into breeding lol) So to keep myself busy for now I've been make Rock Candy Geodes. They are interesting. The taste is great. I have to put them up out of site so I don't end up eating them. Got a batch of Maple flavored ones growing right now. I do alot of knot work and make dog collars and leashes. Sometimes I get orders for belts. Biggest order I ever got was for a backpack made from paracord. Took bit to make I bet you that kid will never wear that thing out. I do occasionally get marine cord and make tank items. I'm also an artist.

I think mainly all of it is just trying to keep busy and not go mad from boredom. Also keeping a 10 year old autistic boy entertained.

I had never thought to try making my own decorations, I was proud enough of making a simple tank divider. That is something for me to look into. I am glad you have a special bond with FishKey. Don't worry about taking a day to say hello, I was checking this forum for a year and a half for advice before I signed up, welcome
