What color would they be considered?

As of yet unnamed! I'm curious as to his color, I'm fairly certain on tail type (halfmoon plakat correct me if I'm wrong)!

And one of him peaking out of his plants just because it's cute.

And I'm also interested in the color of his neighbor Sirius!

Beautiful! The first boy is a Fancy Piebald! A true piebald! Geeze, I haven't seen one of those in a while! Piebald consists of just having their face look like a fleshy color, no colored scales on it. This is different from the Monster coloration which is white dragonscales. And he doesn't fall into any specific other category so just a Fancy Piebald :-D And yes HMPK!

And Sirius is a Black Turquoise Dragon DT
Thank you!

I was very excited to find the first boy in Petco yesterday. There was no way I was leaving the store without him. Lol I'm thinking he's older than Sirius and Fred though as he's noticeably larger than either of the other boys. His head alone is massive compared to theirs.
Wow! My Petco is getting nicer fish but not anywhere near as nice as he is! Congrats on that lucky find for sure!!

He could just have Giant genes in him, so he could just be larger than your regular fish. Much like humans and how we all have different sizes but are all the same species. I have the HM boy in my avatar, his body is teeny compared to one of my VT boy's who was a PetCo baby, but the HM is almost a year older than the VT is so it's all about genetics too. The Piebald looks like he could be 4 months of age, maybe 5 or 6 but no more than that.
Very beautiful plakat! I want him!

My plakat also has a larger body than my veil tail boy although I bought him a year later. I wonder if all plakats are just larger.
It depends on their genes Waking, some fish are just bigger than others. My VT happens to be larger than my HM but I have another HM that is larger than the VT lol The other HM and the VT are roughly similar in age; the VT being a bit older.
Lilnaugrim, I was certainly surprised to see him. Generally my Petco has fairly standard Crowntails and vieltails with an occasional double tail thrown in. It's good to know he's a younger fish too, I just assumed he was older based on size. If you don't mind me asking how do you estimate his age? :)

And thank you waking!
Being around fish a lot helps, I'm not always right of course, it's just an estimation. Most of the time I look at length of fins, generally the shorter the younger they are. Then the overall body, scales should look clean and not like any are missing although that's not exactly a clear indicator since they can get into fights when they are young lol. As I've watched my own fish age, he's now two years old, some things can be easily spot like scales. Remmy (my HM in my avatar), his scales have gotten rough looking, some of them are at odd angles from growing back abnormally so I look for the opposite ^_^

Also knowing the MOST pet store fish are sold at 3-5 months helps as well.
whow, they are both really beautiful, and im in love with your HMPK

Lilnaugrim, I captured some pictures of the new guy and Sirius "next" to each other to show the size difference. Do you think he has giant genes? Sirius is pretty typical of the size male I see in our Petco.

Holy ginormous! Yep! He's a Giant! If he measure nose to peduncle (end of body, start of tail) at 1.9 inches or over then he's a certified giant!
