It's a betta that has thicker scales than usual.
The scales on the body are thicker and look more opaque....they go right onto the fish's face, sometimes completely covering it, but more often creating a stripe down the middle of the face. Here's a pic of one of my fish, a black/copper dragonscale. Not the best pic in the world, but it might give you an idea.I keep hearing "dragonscale". What exactly does that mean?
