Has anyone had experience with this. I was betta shopping and came across a tail type I’d never seen or heard of before. It’s a double ray cross ray crown tail. The pattern is very unique. Is this a new tail type or have I just been under a rock?

Crossray CT, also known as king CT, is when the rays cross the one next to it, forming X's instead of V's. It is almost as old as the creation of CTs. And to my understanding, is more created than genetic (which I will not discuss here).

Thanks for the information! I’ve never seen one before and it surprised me. I’ve never been much of a crowntail fan so that could be why I’ve never seen them before.
