Hi! This is my 3rd Betta I've owned and his name is Draco. I was wondering if someone could help me figure out what type of betta he is, his tail type, and possibly if he has the marbling gene. The first photo is from when I first got him (June 26th) and the second photo is from today (Aug 4th). I don't know if you can see it but in the second photo on top of his head he is getting a gray spot... what does this mean?? Is that a sign of marbling or something else? Thanks!

Amazing betta. I love his color contrast. Not sure what to call his color pattern though.

I'd say he is a HM. He isn't flaring in the pictures but his caudal spread is almost 180° (second picture). He has very nice overall form.

Marbles usually become pale/colorless before it colors up again. So I doubt the grey on head is a process of marbling . . . Only time can tell.

BTW, welcome to the forum
