I was doing a water change and moved some plants around. When I moved the shrimp house I saw something white coming out of it.. thought it would be a dead shrimp so I was ready to take him out but the this thing came out...
I does NOT look like a shrimp. I do NOT know how this thing got into my tank..
Im very nervous because i don't even know what this is and if they are more of them!!

so please help me identify this creature (the thing itself is bigger than my shrimp..)
ps I don't have fish in the tank, onllly shrimp.

It looks like a mosquito larvae to me. If you google it you will see lots of different images for them at different stages in their growth.

I did read, but shrimps can come in lots of different sizes, as it looked transparent it looked small to me. We don’t get the pet shrimps over here like you guys do, well not that I’ve seen in any shops.

so this freaky monster is a damselfly nymph good to know its dangerous and will eat my shrimp. I took it out of my tank.nasty little thingy! I will put it in a jar full of water in my garden..far far far away from me.

I kept it outside on a sunny spot with lots of plants and water and its all covered from ther rain... meh its just an experiment, I won't cry if the thing dies. ;D
