Whenever i see anyone with a betta, my first question would be, "Do you breed them?", if it's a yes then a follow up question which is "how do you do it? and how do you raise your fries?"

I've had a lot of different answers and now i'd like to hear your methods.

and i'd like to know which do you prefer? Bare bottom, or Substrates? Planted, or none? containers or tanks? and explain why.

There is no right nor wrong way to breed this species. Each breeder tweaks methods to suit his/her resources. It's natural that you'll get many different answers.

I use all methods, depending space, available containers, and betta character. 1g tall, 1g short and wide, up to 50g. All are bare bottom. Most densely planted, sometimes totally bare (including bare 1g tall).
Perhaps the only difference in my method is that I seldom, if ever, use new clean water. I mostly age my water, sometimes over 4 weeks.
