I get to play "cool Aunt" and musically spoil nephew Mayson, pictured here with George Porter Jr. of the original Meters, and with Big Sam's Funky Nation (New Orleans Funk).

Don't have time to read further back but it's nice seeing non fishy photos - especially the doggies!

I live fairly close to Macon, GA, former headquarters and home to the Allman Brothers so there's a ton of connections to them around including The Big House and the home where Greg lived with Cher. There's a lot of people there with stories who knew them. Many other great musicians came around as well. The lady I met owns a studio, and her and her husband have walls of photos of soo many greats. I missed my chance last year to see Bob Dylan in concert, and have been bummed about it ever since. Tickets sold out so fast. I love all kinds of music, and there's no shortage of it around here.

Your hiking photos are gorgeous! I would rather go hiking than anything else, it's my favorite way to spend free time.

Oh yeah Macon GA is fertile ground for some great music. I've spent a lot of time in Nola - lotta good music coming out of that place too.

Don't be upset about missing Dylan. Last time I saw him (maybe 3 summers ago) it was evident he should have retired. The performance was so awful it was depressing - his voice was done.

People were walking out saying they didn't want their last memories of Dylan to be so bad. We left early too.

OTOH Paul Simon (same age) is timeless and still going strong. I saw what was supposed to be his final show before retiring. No one had a problem with the tornado warnings, drenching rain and lightning bolts. The band never stopped playing - Simon lit the place on fire

I see a lot of music - worldwide festivalist - that Simon showdown stands out as one memorable experience!

Hi guys! I haven’t come on here in a while, figured a hello would be fitting. I always have to kind of pull away from all this during the school year just cuz all the stress and how busy I get, but I’m hoping to try to check this forum at least once a week now. We’ll see how that goes.

Hi everyone.

Non-fishy life - 2020. My ten-year-old doggie underwent TPLO surgery a few days ago. Eventually, she'll need surgery on the other hind leg. I cried my eyes out when I dropped her off at the vet. When I picked her up the evening after her surgery, I cried again. I scheduled time off from work while she recovers and heals. My rescue Kobe (adopted from the shelter April 2016) turned four years old. Dog owners, do you celebrate your pup's birthdays? I totally forgot his birthday. I decided to celebrate his gotcha date instead. I don't really know if he was born February 1st. The shelter labeled him lab mix. He's not part lab lol. The doggie DNA says otherwise. Aside from that, thee weather is now in the mid-70's in Arizona. People are already wearing shorts, flip flops and summer dresses already, jeez. February and March are simply the best months of the year here. Spring training games and baseball!
