Hi guys! I’m new to this forum. I’m big into domestic betta splendens and would like to get a pair of wilds. My three main species I’m looking at are, betta hendra, betta apiapi and betta brownorum. Can any of those be raised along with their fry in the same tank? Any help would be appreciated, thank you! :)

It is possible to raise fry with the adults, but a lot of fry will get eaten. Especially bubble-nesters, which have smaller fry are vulnerable. Another point you want to look at is tank size. If you set up a specialized tank it is way easier to feed the fry and ensure every fish can eat.

Water changes are similar. Fry grows the fastest when lots of water changes are done. Adults don't really need this and bigger tanks are harder to keep clean.

So keeping them in the same tank is possible, but you will have a much lower survival rate. Also, when the male is guarding his nest he will be much more territorial towards the female.
