Got him from petsmart one week ago

He is light blue, red and white and when i got him his lips were light blue, which i just assumed was his coloring. But now there seems to be a white/light blue spot on his lip as if it is spreading. It's not cottony like a fungus (But maybe it's too early for that?) and its not as if he is sprinkled with salt like with ick. It's the only place on his body that seems to be affected.

Can you post some photos of him?

Since he is a new fish, it's likely that he's just "coloring up" now that he's out of his cold plastic store cup, and in your tank. The spot on his lip sounds like it may just be natural coloring. (I have one guy who looks like he's wearing blue lipstick.)

If you can post some photos, that would be very helpful.
