So I woke up, fed my fish, and noticed he had this white lump on his chin under his right eye today. At first I thought it was a fungus, but it doesn't appear to be fuzzy. I considered a parasite, but it doesn't really look like any I've seen.

I asked my roommate, and he said it looks like a dead peeling scale. From certain angles, it just looks like a normal part of him, but from most (with a little light) it looks like a white/translucent bump. Not too sure what to think, but these are the best pictures I've got right now. Just had a dream that he was sick, and now this happens. Any help is appreciated.

Perhaps, it looks like the thing in the top photo, but my little guy doesn't seem to be itchy or scratching around the tank.

He seems normal, if not a little extra active. I hope your fishy gets better though, and hopefully you can get him a bigger tank in the near future.
