I just got a new blue colored betta fish from petsmart yesterday. He is a day old and is in a 1 gallon tank for now. I noticed he has small white spots on the top of his head. I'm not sure if he was sick before I got him and if he is sick then how to treat him. I just got him and don't want him to die. Also, he's not flaring, is pretty friendly, but if I put in my finger to touch him he lets me and doesn't swim away. Is he sick or just super friendly? Thanks for any advice

I'm not sure from the picture, but it could be a fungal infection. I would raise the temperature to 82 and start him on AQ salt. I would also strongly advise reposting this in the disease section of the forum where disease-expert people will see it.
