Hi. I am new to here.
I have a question for you all.
I bought a new 2.5 tank to have a Betta. I rinsed it out really good with hot water, set it up with the plants and decorations (also rinsed with hot water) and put in the filter that came with the kit. I used bottled water since our tap water runs through a softener and has salt in it. I also used the water conditioner that came with the kit. (kit is a Aqueon BettaBow. 2.5) I let that run for 2 days till all bubbles were out of tank. Then purchased my Betta.
I let him sit in bowl he came in and slowly added tank water to his little bowl floating in the tank till waters were same temp. I then added him to the tank and he swam around fine for a while...now he is just sitting in the plants. He is either up at the top with his mouth by the water edge or he is in the middle of plants not moving. He is not eating either.
Does anyone know what is going on? What should I do now?
