Well as you probably know i started treating my betta with AQ salt about 10-12 days ago. The fin rot is still not completely gone and i read that you should't use AQ salt for past 10days. Now my question is why shouldn't you use it past 10days?

Because it can affect their labyrinth organ which is what they use to breath so it can cause some serious issues.

Betta are freshwater fish, and long term exposure can damage many internal organs. I'm thinking kidneys particularly, since that's where excess minerals end up.
Wait 2 weeks with lot's of regular water changes and if it persists start again.

Supposedly it destroys the liver or kidneys..and it becomes less effective to treat illness if its always used

I was told that it messes with their osmo regulatory system.
