I bought a tetra fully submersible heater with adjustable thermostat for my 20 gallon but i made a mistake and instead of graving a 100 watt i graved a 200 watt.
Would this heater still work?

I already put it inside the tank and that is the reason they won't replace it.

Don't think it matters.. these heaters are designed to heat to a certain temp, and will stop after that temp is reached. Larger wattage is just required to get to that temp in more water space.. it doesn't mean it will keep heating after the limit.. Watch is anyways.
